My main mission is to provide effective, customized, Patient-centered health care at a reasonable cost; one patient at a time or in some cases community style treatments. In support of our mission, please be mindful of our policies on appointments, cancellations, late arrivals, and payment.
Appointments and cancellation policy
I encourage Patients to schedule appointments in advance to ensure they receive and retain the time slot they most desire. Reminders will be sent prior to appointments.
Appointments cancelled or changed with less than 48 hours’ notice, or are missed altogether without notice, will be charged the full session rate, including mobile services.
If you find that you are running late, please call to avoid making an unnecessary trip. I will make every effort to accommodate your circumstances. I recognize that real emergencies do occur, and are happy to consider these on an individual basis.
Payment
Payment will be processed at the time of your visit. All major forms of payment are accepted: cash, most major credit cards (chips and contactless), contactless debit cards, and E-Transfers.
Mobile service is also available. There will be a travel surcharge, and amount will depend on location.
Msp and insurance coverage
Acupuncture is covered by MSP and many Extended Insurance Health plans, including ICBC and WPBC claims, please check with your insurer or your ICBC or WPBC claims adjuster for details. I do not bill directly with MSP, ICBC or WPCB at the moment. Depending on the insurance company do direct bill. However, I also provide a receipt, which can be submitted for reimbursement.
patient first visit and treatments
A Patient’s first visit is a longer session which includes the intake of medical history, main health concerns, assessments and a treatment, along with a Treatment Plan that would benefit and aid in resolving the concerns. After your initial visit you may have a choice, depending on your needs, on how to pay for your Treatment Plan, either pay on a pay-per visit or pre-paid sessions. Depending on the needs and treatments needed you can save up to 20% off on pre-paid sessions. Bundling other services offered are available upon request or treatment needs. Cost for these will be discussed when determining the Treatment Plan.
what is and isn't included in patient treatment
Depending on the Patient’s Treatment Plan several different related therapies might be used. These are included with the cost of an acupuncture treatment unless otherwise indicated. Examples include cupping, moxibustion, DNA, Tui’na/light massage, etc. Unrelated therapies such as Ayurvedic massage, micro-needling, cosmetic acupuncture, or others will be discussed with the Patient prior to being administered, and will be charged separately.
needles
Only use sterile, single-use disposable needles and micro-needles are used. Micro-needles are unit of a number of needles that are used in conjunction with a micro-needling machine. All needles are used only for a single treatment and then properly disposed of immediately after use.
